Service engineer

Service engineer

You are the face of VitalFluid for all our customers worldwide. On-site, you install and maintain our machines that make food production more sustainable. Not only do you embark on an adventure, but you also make the world a little greener.

Your impact on a sustainable world

You quickly become familiar with our Plasma Activated Water (PAW) machines inside out. As a result, you assist our customers in using the machines to their full potential. You literally cross borders to do this:

  • You install new machines at customer locations in countries such as the Netherlands, Spain, Morocco, and the United States. It takes you to various places.
  • You monitor the machines to ensure they are functioning correctly. If there are any deviations, you analyse them and work with the local organisation to resolve them.
  • You conduct experiments from our location in Eindhoven to continuously improve and innovate our machines.

You not only install the machines but also work with the customers to integrate them effectively into their local systems and provide clear explanations of how the machines operate. Maintenance is mostly performed on-site, occasionally remotely. Approximately 25 to 50% of your time is spent traveling, which is something that excites you. You collaborate extensively with on-site maintenance personnel who usually have limited English proficiency, and you ensure effective communication of information.

You also assist in setting up and maintaining the maintenance system. Throughout your tasks, you have the support of your colleagues in Eindhoven, who provide their specialised knowledge and experience in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, and software.

Your team

You work in a small team, led by a lead engineer, alongside a fellow service engineer, a mechanical engineer, a mechatronics engineer, and an electrical engineer. Together, you form the foundation for the engineering of our machines (applications) and the marketing of our technology.

Within VitalFluid, we have around 30 colleagues, and we foster an open and accessible atmosphere. It’s a place where you have the freedom to fully utilise your creative and innovative potential. “Creavation” is an important value for us, representing the perfect fusion of creativity and innovation. We are hard workers who can thrive under tight deadlines. Your entrepreneurial character aligns perfectly with our practical approach: we learn by doing. Our team comprises individuals from diverse nationalities, which is advantageous for our innovation. By viewing everything from each person’s unique perspective, we embark on the most remarkable experiments.

VitalFluid, the global leader in plasma activated water applications

We are working on a relatively new phenomenon, where Plasma Activated water (PAW) is produced using just water, air, and electricity. Based on our varied know-how, together we develop high tech applications in the area of PAW. In doing this, we simulate a natural principle: if lightning strikes water, the water is temporarily given a disinfecting function and a little nitrogen is added to the water. The nutritious and purifying ‘growth water’ emerging here, is quite a suitable alternative for chemical pesticides and polluting fertiliser. This way we want to help realising our CO2-reduction and reach the objective of growing our food biologically for at least 25% in 2030, while using 50% fewer pesticides.

Our team of 30 thus commits to a better world. We have the ambition to develop our Plasma-technology even further, so over the period to come, we will grow as an organisation. We are keen to add (technical) specialists to our team, who are looking forward to making the world greener, together with us.
